Snow Removal Videos.

After my posts about snow and Québec déneigement, it was suggested I should post a video. Which was a great idea, because it is simply impossible to imagine if you have never seen it before. So our Québec déneigement video was taken by S in Québec City right before Christmas. S captured it well, and I was excited to have something to share depicting the snow removal trucks in action. At the end of the video, you can see how the empty trucks follow the active truck, ready for action. (My parents were here then too and also found the process quite impressive!)

Then there is this terrible video taken by me in Montréal on Tuesday night. I only post it because it shows how very long the trucks are here in Montréal. Instead of looking like a dump truck like the ones they use in Québec, here in Montréal they use some sort of converted semi-truck. A way-longer-than-normal semi-truck. I have no idea how they turn corners with that thing. The yellow truck-machine to the right of the semi-truck is shooting the snow into the truck bed to be hauled away to who knows where. I was quite excited to discover this difference this week.

Ah, snow removal. I get a major kick out of it.
