Home-made Bread

The other day I made no-knead bread for the first time. It is very simple to make, though you do have to plan ahead since it takes so long to rise. This was such a positive experience that I now plan on making this regularly instead of buying bread at the grocery store.

  1. I used to make it all the time, and we all loved it so much... Somehow when I came back to work after my mat leave it has fallen on the wayside, but I definitely plan to take it up again this time... This recipe is so easy, I first saw it on the Martha Show several years ago.

The results are delicious, much better than with a bread machine... And it made me realize that bread SHOULD have like 5 ingredients or less, not 26 (including soy isolates and corn syrup and other stuff) you find in grocery store bread.

Don't you think baking your own bread is the ultimate domestic satisfaction? :-)

  2. Yum! Yes, no-knead bread is awesome, and like Marie-Ève said, it feels great to know there are only five ingredients in it.

Have you heard of the "Five Minutes a Day for Fresh-Baked Bread" method? I haven't done it yet, but it seems so simple!
