This
apple pie is one of the results of the apples we picked a while back. It was my first attempt to do a double crust and I was pretty excited to try it. It turned out well and we both liked it, agreeing that it was just sweet enough and not too sweet.
Delicious! I need to make some pie soon - to me, it is the perfect autumn food!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so tasty! I've been on the look out for a good pastry recipe, I'll have to give this one a try.
ReplyDelete@fiona lynne- It was very fun to do this fall-like baking. I made fried green tomatoes with the last of the summer tomatoes and followed up with an apple pie to embrace fall. :)
ReplyDelete@Bridey- Yeah, I am pretty sure this will be my go-to recipe for apple pie from now on. Hope you like it too!
It's so pretty! I love baking in the fall too. I've mostly been making carrot cake to use up my garden carrots.
ReplyDeleteCan you post your fried green tomato recipe? We got a late start planting this year so we have lots of green tomatoes on the vine still, and I'd like to use them up.
@Meghan- Okay! Check back tomorrow... :)
